Angel Fernandez, MST, CPA

Angel Fernandez has successfully used his entrepreneurial skills to develop Fernandez-Bergnes & Associates, PA, a CPA firm established in 1997 focused on the needs of small and midsize companies, helping them build the economic engine of their businesses.

Working with business owners all over South Florida in a broad range of industries, Fernandez is committed to empowering his clients to take ownership of their finances and achieve business profitability.

Angel started his career in the insurance industry in 1994 working for Avante Insurance, the company his parents built from the ground up. The values he learned at an early age, working with his family, are ones that remain at the heart of his organization. Angel is currently the CFO of Avante and is credited with creating and implementing financial controls that have improved the profitability and operational efficiency of the organization as well as maintaining the company at the cutting edge of technology.

As an entrepreneur himself, Angel understands firsthand the challenges small and medium business owners face. He openly shares his experiences to educate and partner with each of his clients and create a future with them that has them achieve unprecedented business results.

Angel is also deeply involved in the community through his participation in faith-based organizations. He serves as a leader and passionate participant on several committees and has been instrumental in helping raise money to help the needs of those less fortunate in neighboring communities as well as around the world.
